Pioneer Project: AWARE
Agricultural Waste Recycling Enterprise
East Africa's first structured agricultural waste buy-back network
AWARE (Agricultural Waste Recycling Enterprise) is a pioneer project of the ABYT Network. It is East Africa’s first structured agricultural by-product buy-back network — ABYT traders collect oil-bearing crop waste and press cake from farmers and agro-processors across Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, then sell them as certified animal feed and crop oil to local and global markets.
