Youth Employment
1,000+ ABYT Associates are now earning income, building businesses, and delivering climate solutions. On average, each employed youth supports 3–5 dependents, meaning over 5,000 lives directly uplifted — and many more inspired by local leadership.
Vendor Inclusion & Household Impact
From food vendors and recyclers to families and small businesses, 45,000 vendors and over 18,000 households are now part of Africa’s emerging circular economy. These stakeholders are not only earning from waste — they’re reducing pollution, saving money, and modeling sustainable living.
Organic Waste Recovery
7,500+ tonnes of food and market waste were diverted from landfills and converted into compost or bio-based products — cutting methane emissions, restoring soils, and supporting food systems.
Inorganic Recycling
6,000+ tonnes of plastics, glass, metals, and paper were sorted and sold — preserving ecosystems, creating jobs, and shifting communities away from illegal dumping and burning.
Climate Action
SWARM’s circular systems avoided over 36,000 tonnes of CO₂e emissions, which is equal to:
- Planting more than 1.6 million trees
- Removing 7,800 fuel-powered cars from the road for a year
